On this weekend’s “Wait, Wait,” we quizzed Patton Oswalt about fast food. One of the questions concerned Popeye’s Dip’n Chick’n, which is—in theory—chicken extruded into a spoon-like shape for easier capture of dip. This is a perfect example of Michael Pollan’s “Edible Foodlike Substance”. I would not put that into my mouth.
